Google Pixel December update

Google is extra busy this time around: Pixel phones aren’t just getting their latest Android security updates, and we’ve got a full-blown Pixel Feature Drop landing. Among other things, this update brings the new Google Camera app to all Pixels (including the original 2016 models), which has been updated with some great new

But the fun isn’t just confined to Google’s phones, and the company took a little time to talk about new Pixel Watch features that are just around the corner.

While we’ve got to wait until the new year to try our things like fall detection, there is a fresh Pixel Watch firmware update on its way to the wearable right now, delivering a handful of bug fixes.

In another update, Google reiterated that Pixel Watch Fall Detection is coming in 2023, while the new tiles for sunrise/sunset and favorite contacts are currently rolling out. The updated Google Keep app is coming later this month.

We’ve already seen Google update the Pixel Watch’s companion app but today we’re getting an actual new firmware release for the Watch itself. Checking out the changelog, we’re not really seeing anything in the way of new functionality, and instead get a few patches to stomp out bugs:

Pixel 7 gets free VPN, Recorder Speaker labels, Clear Calling

Settings

The rollout of the new google Pixel Watch software has begun, and all owners should see it within the next week. This release includes a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, so be sure to update your watch as soon as you can.
